Nepal
provides shelter to over 30 species of large wild animals and approximately 180
species of mammals. The rhinoceros, tiger, crocodile, snow leopard, red panda,
Himalayan black bear, wild and ferocious gaur bovines, four honed antelope,
striped hyena, sambar, chital, hog deer, barking deer, sloth bear, palm civet,
langur and rhesus macaque monkeys, pangolin, Gangetic dolphin, monitor lizard,
python, cobra, green pit viper, tortoises, and many other beasts roam Nepal’s
jungles.
Nepal is also a haven for birds
and over 800 species, representing approximately eight percent of the world’s
population are found here. In fact, Nepal has nearly as many bird species as the
whole of North America. The common birds include peafowl, red jungle fowl,
various egrets, herons, kingfishers, flycatchers, and woodpeckers.
Among the fourteen National Parks
and reserves in Nepal, ROYAL
CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK, BARDIA NATIONAL PARK, AND KOSHI TAPPU WILDLIFE RESERVE
provide excellent views of Asian wildlife. Theses National Park offers some of
the most exciting safari destinations in the world. You will experience the deep
jungle on elephant back or four wheel drive vehicle and view wild animals in
their natural habitat. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy canoe rides
on the jungle rivers, take nature walks, go out on bird watching excursions,
tour to villages, and witness firsthand the culture of the Tharu community.
There are comfortable lodges and resorts with modern facilities available in the
jungle.

01 |
- Arrival by
flight/car to Chitwan, meet and transfer to Camp/Lodge by Jeep.
- Welcome drink and orientation about jungle programs by Camp /
Lodge Manager followed with Lunch.
- Visit to the wildlife museum, village walk and Bull - cart
drive to Elephant Breeding Center.
- Evening Yoga or Sun Set viewing or Slide show on request or
star gazing and wildlife (especially rhino) viewing or observing jungle
sounds or drum beat sound like in Phantom stories. |
Day
02 |
- After Set
Breakfast Canoeing on Rapti River, Jungle walk and back to Camp.
- Interesting Deep Jungle Drive to Bison view Tower, Bird
watching at Lami Tal, visit to Crocodile Breeding Center and Park H. Q.
Museum, and finally slow drive back to Camp/Lodge.
- Evening followed by tribal stick dances. |

03 |
- Morning
Nature walk if you like.
- Most Interesting Elephant back safari to view wild animals.
- Farewell drink.
- Departure transfer to Kathmandu or Pokhara or Extend to stay
for further activities. |
