Rafting Itineraries
Here are some of the rivers we can regularly get you riding on divided in short, middle and long categories.

Short trips: From easy drifting rivers to great white water challenges

Seti Khola: Warm and beautiful - Annapurna Range -  (2 to 3 days)
Apart for monsoon flows, when it can seduce experienced rafters and kayakers alike with challenging rapids, Seti is a gentle river, famous for its dazzling scenery. For nature lovers, bird-watchers, and dreamers (Also ideal for family trips)

Tamur River: Trek and Tame the Tamur - 12 Days - Class 4 & 5
Experience a true adventure. Trek through wilderness beauty. Challenge the mighty Class 4-5 rapids. Camp on deserted beaches. Behold the incredible vistas of Kanchenjunga, Makalu, and Everest. Go where few have dared to venture. An expedition to the Tamur River begins and ends with a breathtakingly beautiful four-day trek through a remote area in the eastern region of Nepal.

Big White WaterOn the six day, you will experience over 100 of Nepal's most exciting rapids by raft or kayak on a 120 km descent. This single trip combines the joys of trekking and the excitement of a challenging and seldom seen river. An expedition to the Tamur allows you to experience the "Best" of Nepal's natural beauty.

The Tamur River is not open for "business as usual." We can arrange a very special group-permit only by prior reservation. The best times to try to "Tame the Tamur" are in Oct-Nov and Feb-May.  Contact us to join us on our escape from the usual..

Trishuli: The classic river - Langtang Himal - (1 to 3 days)
After a short drive to the starting point, this river offers an exciting experience for first time paddlers (class 2 to 3+), which can easily be combined with a trip to Pokhara or Chitwan. During the monsoon, though, Trishuli swells with powerful rapids and whirlpools.

Upper Bhote Koshi: The turbulent river - Tibetan Plateau - (2 days)
Probably the best short white water adventure in the world. While traveling through the mountains to the starting point, one can get an interesting glimpse of Tibetan life; but once on the river, there is no time to stop paddling, as the raft/kayak needs to slalom its way down some of the fastest and steepest rapids of Nepal. This turbulent river (class 3 to 5) can be rafted around November /December, or from February to April.

White Water Expeditions: Middle length serious fun

Annapurna Range - (4 to 5 days)
Named after the much-revered Goddess Kali and descending from the deepest gorge in the world, this fabulous river (class 3 to 4+) offers a mixture of wilderness, amazing mountain views, and pure adrenaline. Magar villages encountered along the way, as well as the famous abandoned palace of Ranighat, give it an exceptional touch. Unfortunately, a hydroelectric project might permanently close this river to rafters and kayakers after 1999. So, do not miss your chance!

Marshyangdi: The raging river - Annapurna range - (4 to 6 days)
Uninterrupted class 4 to 5 rapids, Himalayan giants looking down on us, Gurung (the Gurkhas) village life. An exciting trip combines the joys of trekking and rafting. Marshyangdi nadi (raging river) lets you crash down its rapids from October to December aand February to May.

Long journeys Into the remote

Sunkoshi: The river of gold - Mt. Everest region - (8 to 10 days)
Sunkoshi is famous in rafting circles for being one of the 10 most exciting white water rivers in the world (class 3 to 5). This golden adventure takes us down along beautiful rolling mountain scenery and small remote villages, where the local people can be seen dedicating themselves to their daily rural activities. A life time experience. Especially at high flows, when the rapids get so voluminous rafts often disappear from the sight of those standing on the shore!

Karnali: The Wild West - Far West Region - (10 to 12 days)
This is the largest and longest river in Nepal. A 2-day trek from the nearest road takes you to the starting point, into uniquely diverse flora and fauna. Along the dense forests, class 4 to 5 rapids, each leading unto another, will take the rafts and kayaks rolling down in awe. The put out point, Chisapani, can be the take-off for your safari adventures in the most Rhino and Tiger filled park of Nepal, Bardia National Park. A "dream come true" combination trip!
